I just completed a balance sheet but it does not balance. Any ideas what kind of mistake I might have made? What should I first look into so that I can make it balance?
It seems that you have made a mistake in the credit and debits or you have transferred wrong accounts from your trial balance to your financial statements.
For the balance sheet to balance, you should have equal credits and debits!
