Is the long term investments and the fixed assets the same thing? Is a long term investment considered a fixed asset and if not, what are their differences?
Fixed assets include property, plant and machinery. While a property for example can be an investment, it will then not be included as fixed asset. Long term investments are recognized as investment assets and not as fixed assets.
